Winemaking
Syrah from Kangaroo Ground had a gentle maceration overnight before being pressed to stainless steel tank for a natural primary fermentation in our underground cellar. The wine was then transferred to seasoned oak puncheons where it went through 100% natural malo-lactic fermentation.
Nose
Strawberry & cream. Lifted aromas of liqueur cherry and dried herbs. Spice notes, including pink peppercorn. Flint and earthy notes appear as the wine opens in the glass.
Palate
Medium bodied with fruit sweetness but also a few grams of residual sugar. Soft, slippery and rustic with red berries, herbs and fine tannins on the finish. Great food Rose’.
