  • Picked – 11th March at 13 Baume’
  • 100% whole bunch fermented.
  • Foot stomped to get ferment going and then stomp, drain and return twice during the ferment.
  • Approx. 3 weeks post ferment maceration.
  • Pressed direct to barrel including 50% new Francois Freres
  • Bottled early to lock in unique varietal character and minimise the impact of the new oak component.

nose

Huge cinnamon hit leaps from the glass. Bramble, raspberry and bitter chocolate follow. Hints of earth and charred oak elements.

palate

Sweet red fruits on the front palate followed by masses of fine-grained tannins on the mid palate. A medium bodied Pinotage with good definition and fruit purity.  A balanced acid backbone provides great drive to the finish.
